Except your gut drops when your prof says to pull out your books and and so to folio x.
I'd rather carry the extra weight and be prepared.

definitely don't want to be that person, I have three back to dorsum courses and then I was hoping I could lighten the load but I'd rather just acquit the weight!

I brought my concrete copy to grade near of the time. I would sometimes apply a backpack, sometimes not, but what helped me a lot was getting a locker and using that all the time so I often didn't have to cart back and forth likewise much.

that'due south a good idea thanks!

some professors may require y'all to physically bring the book to class. Also, it's good to have the book in front of you in case you have a professor who is a stickler for factual details that you may not accept written in your notes.

I always bring them. Likewise, I know a lot of people are proverb to get the digital versions, simply some professors don't allow computers in grade at all so be careful. Physical books with digital codes too tend to cost more than since y'all unremarkably have to purchase them brand new, and non all books have digital versions.

Lockers save so many back bug you don't realize you lot're having until y'all stop carrying all your books effectually.
5 classes with 500-m pages per book is non manageable to lug effectually.
level one
I used a backpack because I needed the books to study from between classes.

I'll nevertheless have one as well simply hoping information technology won't completely break my back!

I had digital copies of the books. Makes life easier. I'm a fan of writing notes by hand though because it personally works for me. Good luck.

Y'all'll definitely demand your book in grade. I'm not sure if your law school has this service, but at my school there's a center on campus that will unbind your books for a inexpensive fee. I would take out only the pages nosotros covered that week and put it in a binder, then take the binder with me to class then I wouldn't have to bring my entire textbooks to school (I'm a commuter and accept to travel over an 60 minutes each way on public transport in order to get to school, and so bringing multiple textbooks with me to school wasn't an option). That might exist an choice for you if yous don't mind having your books unbound

I took my volume to grade each mean solar day. My law schoolhouse had lockers, and I would swap books betwixt classes. It was easy.
I had one friend who didn't want to pay for a locker and hid his books in the constabulary library stacks. He figured the odds were low of someone ever looking for a book and happening upon his textbooks. It was a gamble that paid off for him, I guess. He would just tabular array nearby where he would study.

Def have your books (digital or physical) in course 1L year. As a 1L, you're likely to miss certain things and volition need to re-read this during the lecture. Normally, prof's will try to guide you if you get chosen on to the correct text. Having it in forepart of yous is key for those cold calls.

If you're driving to campus, bring your books for all the classes you have that day and just bring the 1 you demand within. And so get swap them out. I brought my books to every class and it came in handy, especially if you lot're planning on book briefing. You got this!

I tin can't retrieve of a time where I wished I didn't have the book. And plenty when I forgot it at home and wished I did

I used an app to browse images of each folio my books after I finished reading assignments It was time consuming, but it was also something I did while watching Netflix to unwind My favorite app is genius scan
level 1
I did everything on my phone and didn't even comport a backpack, so information technology is just a personal preference
level 2
